Another Cool OK Go Video
This time they play out the song using a Chevy Sonic and some cool adaptations to the exterior of the car:

I started my new job yesterday!
I’m still getting my feet underneath me but it looks like a good place to work.
This Week in Scott 2012-01-29
This is delayed a little because I wanted to make sure that everyone in my life was informed before I posted online but I’m starting a new job at Zimco working as a programmer on STAGES and I’m super excited about it! I have another week of work ahead of me (mostly documentation and trying up loose ends [I've been amazed at the number of small things that I've overlooked]) at MPS but I start the new job on February 6th.
Stephanie and I are almost done picking our food for the wedding at about 5 times what we were expecting to spend so hopefully it will be amazing!
2012 Looking Forward
One of the things that always interests me is how often the new year is used as a point of introspection both in terms of what happened last year and things that are goals for next year. I think it has to do with how the changing of the year makes us think about our morality. I guess I’m going to be no different…
Looking back I’m happy about the things that happened to me:
- Got out of Credit Card dept!
- Visited NYC!
- Moved in with Stephanie!
- Got engaged to Stephanie!
- Ran Several 5k and 10k races including the warrior dash (I wish I had a complete count
)
Overall it was a great year and (as I normally do) I want to document my goals for the following year:
- Get married to Stephanie without having a nervous breakdown from all the stress
- Lose 30 lbs before my wedding (2012-10-20)
- Run a half marathon
- Have at least $1500 saved for retirement
- Finally come up with a single topic blog and post to it regularly
- Develop my own WordPress theme for my blogs
- Get a side business website up and running by my birthday
- 10 more 5k/10k/half-marathons
This year I’ll do my best to keep track of my progress here:

After surviving four different Thanksgivings Stephanie and I finally have a date and place for our Wedding (October 20th, 2012 [10-20-12]) at Whiting Forest.
1965 Mustang Body
This is interesting. Ford has starting selling new 1965 Mustang bodies but just the bodies. I guess between this and DeLorean starting up production we can finally get some new cool old cars.

Stephanie and I are engaged to be married!
We are still working out all the details (and thanks to theknot.com we have a lot of them to figure out) but it’s most likely going to be a spring wedding. Everything else seems inconsequential to that.
Ford Explorer Made Of Legos
A very cool video that shows off how huge Lego creations are made.
