I know it’s almost cliche but I’m going to write a post about my New Years resolutions. I think that by writing them down that I have more of a goal to work towards. Plus knowing that there is some record that I decided on these will actually help me go through with them.
- Take at least one picture EVERY day. I have been mulling over this for the last week or so and I think I’m really going to do it. I know the best way to get better at something is to keep practicing. This will force me to work towards learning more about photography and I will need to get better at throwing out the pictures that aren’t as good (another lofty goal). I’m going to start posting the photos to my Flickr account and I will have a post for every week that summarize them all. That way I don’t flood my blog with individual pictures but I still show them off somewhere.
- Write a blog post five times a week. This one I’m going to have to work hard at. I have been good the last week or so writing a post every day but it has been a lot of work coming up with something to write. I want to improve the quality of my writing and I know that the only way I will work towards doing that is by actually writing something and because I’m not creative enough to write short stories or poetry I think this will have to do.
- Lose weight: Even more cliche I know BUT I have gained a lot of weight in the past year and a half and I have to start doing something about it now or else I will gain more weight this winter.
- Eat out less: I’m going to try and stick to eating out once each week for lunch and once each week for dinner. I have been spending WAY to much money eating out each week.
- Cook/bake two new things every month. This doesn’t seem like a lot but I will be busy with the other resolutions so I don’t know that I will have a lot of free time.
I’m going to create a page so I can keep track of my progress in these resolutions. I think that will really help me keep going and not loose sight of the goal line.
