One of the reasons that I wanted to get my own domain name is that I could set up one e-mail address and people would always know how to get a hold of me. I have been having a hard time deciding what e-mail address that I want to use:
- Scott@… – seems a little redundant and it makes it seem like there are more people with scottwarrren.info e-mail addresses.
- scottwarren@… – even more redundant
- me@… – this seems good to me but isn’t very unique and I’m sure I will get TONS of spam.
- TheMacDaddy@… – not professional enough
- webmaster@… – to specific?
Another option is that I could make one e-mail public and one that I only give to my close family and friends. That way I can easily ditch the public e-mail if something happens to it. I’m going to let it roll around in my head for another couple weeks and then I can make my decision. I’m just going to forward the main to Gmail so I don’t really need to worry to much about getting checking the e-mail. I think for the time being I’m just going to set up a catch all e-mail address to see if I’m getting any e-mail.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackObviously I’m a fan of the me@ option. One other thing to consider is how easy it is to say out loud. When I give my email address to people out loud, they always have problems understanding that I mean M. E.
I actually don’t get tons of spam to that email address. At least not since I set up Google Apps. Now all of my mail gets routed through Google’s spam filter before even touching Mail.app’s filter
If I wanted to go through the hassle, I would probably switch to brandon@kishba.com
